According to the performance requirements of the product, select high-purity, uniform particle size ceramic powder as the basic raw material, such as alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride and other powders.
The purity, particle size distribution and chemical composition of purchased raw materials are tested to ensure that raw materials meet production requirements.
According to the formula requirements of the product, accurately weigh various raw materials, mix different types of ceramic powders and additives, additives can improve the molding performance, sintering performance of ceramics, etc.

Dry compression molding: The processed raw material powder is placed in a mold and formed under a certain pressure. This method is suitable for making ceramic parts with simple shapes and larger sizes, such as ceramic substrates, ceramic pads, etc.
Hydrostatic forming: For some ceramic parts with complex shapes and high dimensional accuracy requirements, isostatic forming methods are often used. The raw material powder is loaded into an elastic mold, placed in a high-pressure container, and the pressure is evenly applied through the liquid medium, so that the powder is compacted and formed by the same pressure in all directions.
There are also injection molding and cast molding.

The formed billet is placed in a high-temperature furnace for sintering to densify it. During the sintering process, diffusion, rearrangement, and other processes occur between the ceramic particles, gradually reducing porosity and increasing density, thereby achieving high strength and hardness. Generally, the sintering temperature ranges between 1500℃-2000℃. Depending on the different ceramic materials and product requirements, appropriate sintering processes and atmospheres are selected, such as air atmosphere, nitrogen atmosphere, hydrogen atmosphere, etc.

Cutting: Use cutting equipment, such as diamond cutting blades, laser cutting machines, etc., to cut the sintered ceramic parts into the required dimensions and shapes. For some ceramic parts with high precision requirements, multiple cutting and finishing may be necessary.
Grinding: Further improve the surface finish and dimensional accuracy of the ceramic parts through grinding. Use grinders and different grit grinding materials to grind the surface of the ceramic parts, removing burrs and surface irregularities generated during the cutting process.
Polishing: Use polishing equipment and polishing agents to perform fine polishing on the ceramic parts, achieving a higher surface finish to meet some applications with extremely high surface quality requirements, such as optical lenses, ceramic bearings, etc.
Hole Drilling: According to the product's usage requirements, use hole drilling equipment, such as electrical discharge machining (EDM) hole drills, ultrasonic hole drills, etc., to machine various hole diameters on the ceramic parts.

According to the end use and performance requirements of the product, the ceramic parts are surface treated. Common surface treatment methods include coating treatment, electroless plating, electroplating, etc. to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and other properties of ceramic parts, or to improve the appearance quality of their surfaces.

Appearance inspection: Through the naked eye or the use of optical microscopes and other equipment, check whether the surface of ceramic parts has cracks, pores, missing materials, burrs and other defects, and whether the appearance and size meet the design requirements.
Dimensional accuracy measurement: Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, three-coordinate measuring instruments, etc. to accurately measure the key dimensions of ceramic parts to ensure that the dimensional deviation is within the specified tolerance range.
Performance testing: The mechanical properties (such as hardness, strength, toughness, etc.), physical properties (such as density, coefficient of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, etc.) and chemical properties (such as corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, etc.) of ceramic parts are tested to assess whether the product meets the requirements of use.
